Well I have finished the final year at college but unfortunately have not qualified for the HND or HNC due to I had outstanding work from the first year which i completed in 2006. I just couldn't remember what to do and did not receive the help i needed to get the job done. this has not deter me from trying to get into software development in fact it's probley sperd me on more to prove to the college and myself that I can do it. my learning has taken me to several places of interest (Access, C#, ASP.NET, and my old fave VB.NET).
I want to try and study and get the MS 70-536 exam under my belt over the summer and defiantly by October. I have started the self paced book from MS Press and must say I'm well impressed with how the book it lay ed out and goes through the stages. Ill keep posted on how I'm doing over the summer please leave comment if you have any advice on any of the interest areas I'm concentrating on at the moment.

Project images

OK here is the main screen for my maths game I am doing for my year project. I am currently at the usability testing stage but having to wait for the feedback. this is the one thing I hate having to do is sit on my hands waiting for other people to do things but I'm shore I will be seeing a lot more of this in the future.

My first entry
Hi my names James Gawne and I thought I would join the rest of you and join the world of Blogging :p . The main reason for starting this blog though is because I am just finishing my time at college studying towards an HND/C in software development and read that this is something I should do. Also I thought it might be cool for me to have somewhere for me to post some of the things I get up to as I embark on my long journey and maybe take some of you along with me for the ride. Let me get one thing clear I am no supper coder with a solution to problems you all may have but that's not to say I wont try and help :) This is more of a chance for me to just talk about some of the things I get up to i.e. programs I may write in my spare time or new technologies I'm trying to get my head round. I should also mention that I'm no journalist or that hot at spelling but know how to use spell check. Anyway for the next three weeks or so I will properly be posting about my software Dev project which to be honest I'm not that impressed with but it may give some of you who are just starting out in VB.NET a nudge in the right direction.
